Business act

Business notification

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry page says, "If you want to start a new business, you must submit a 'business notification' to the Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry within 30 days of the start.", but I think that there are no people who see this page who start a "manufacturing" business, so I will talk about it on the premise of "import" business.

The PSE test takes at least 45 days, so it is possible to actually submit a notification in time even after all the inspections have been completed, and I think that is more reasonable.

Samples prepared are attached to the website of the competent Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry (an organization that accepts documents to be applied to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). Confirmation of standard compliance

To put it simply, it is a sample test performed on an inspection agency.

The flow is very simple, but depending on the choice of which inspection institution to use at this time, the inspection cost will vary greatly.

For example, it takes time and effort to send samples to Japan inspection agencies even though the production area is China. Also, while Chinese inspection institutions are basically cheaper, I think it is simply a waste that we cannot make that choice just because we do not know how to utilize them overseas.

Specified electrical appliances and materials_Conformity inspection

As I have mentioned before, PSE is classified into specified electrical appliances and materials (commonly known as rhombic PSE) and non-specified electrical appliances (commonly known as round PSE).

Conformity inspection means production plant inspection.

In other words, specific electrical appliances and materials require a production plant inspection, and production plant inspections are not required except for specified electrical appliances, and once the sample inspection is completed, the next manufacturing and import step will proceed as it is.

It is a little difficult to read from this flow, but whether to certify with either a specific electrical appliance or a specific electrical appliance material or a specific electrical appliance material is known from the early stages, and it must be known.

This is because, for example, if the product you are considering certification is a specified electrical appliance material, you must dispatch inspectors to the production plant, and since the number of items other than product inspection will increase, it is necessary to grasp what you will inspect.

There are various costs involved in certification, but when considering the cost-effectiveness of being able to keep down where it should be suppressed, it seems that it is worth considering which one to choose.
